VANCOUVER — Canpotex, a joint venture owned by the Mosaic Company and Nutrien Ltd., has announced a $500-million investment in a terminal located at the Port of Vancouver.
The company says the project will replace and modernize infrastructure at Neptune Bulk Terminals, including shiploaders, conveyors and more.
Canpotex says Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» is expected to be completed in 2028, with shipping continuing uninterrupted during the process.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says in a news release that by moving more potash to international markets, the project will support economic growth in the province and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» as a whole.
Canpotex CEO Gordon McKenzie says the investment means it will be able to export potash through the Port of Vancouver for decades to come.
Saskatoon-based Canpotex markets and delivers potash produced by Mosaic and Nutrien.
