EDMONTON — The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) has announced the appointment of Chris Gardner as chair of its board of directors.
Gardner has served as president and CEO of the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA) since 2017.
Before joining ICBA, he worked for one of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s largest modular Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» companies, explains a release, served as principal secretary to B.C.’s 35th premier, and worked in Seoul, South Korea for Samsung Electronics and for the Dutch financial services company ING Group.
“Governments have never spent more, taxed more, or wasted more – and taxpayers are buried under ever higher taxes and red tape,â€ said Gardner in a statement. “Every day, the CTF fights for common sense and accountability in government, making the case for lower taxes, less waste, and an end to the abuse of taxpayer dollars.â€
CTF president Scott Hennig said he looks forward to the federation benefitting from Gardner’s insight and advice.
“His practical experience both inside and outside of government will help us continue to execute our mission on behalf of hardworking taxpayers.
Founded in 1990, the CTF is a non-partisan, not-for-profit citizens’ group.
