ConstructConnect reported the top ten nonresidential Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» starts by dollar volume in the SeptemberÌý

Last week, ConstructConnect announced that the volume ofÌý—the sum of Nonresidential Building and Heavy Engineering—was $49.7 billion, a decrease of $7.8 billion or 13.5%Ìýcompared to a revised July reading of $57.5 billion through August 2024.
Chief Economist Michael Guckes said, “Through August, total year-to-date Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» spending is down 2.4%. However, this small contraction hides a wide dispersion of results acrossÌý.â€�
Guckes underscored the significance of wiseÌýÌýfor Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» professionals like general contractors, trades, building product manufacturers, and estimators when he added, “Knowing the landscape of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» industry will have significant benefits to firms willing and able to navigate today’s bumpyÌýterrain.”
